# Missed call: reply on WhatsApp

> With Ringover connected, a missed call can get a WhatsApp message two minutes later: “Hello, you called Martin Renovations. We are out on a job right now. Tell us here what you need and we will get back to you.” If someone on your team calls back or answers another call from them in the meantime, nothing is sent. This is the **Allô chantier** pack, with its **Missed call** scenario.

## Steps

1. Connect Ringover (article “Connect Ringover to WYP.chat”).
2. In **Settings › Workspace and members**, **Ringover** section, click **Add Allô chantier**. Choose **When should the message go after a missed call?**: **After every missed call** or **Only outside your opening hours**, then **Activate**.
3. The pack prepares the **Missed call** WhatsApp template as a draft. Open **Sales › Templates**, review it and click **Send to WhatsApp for approval**. The **Missed call** scenario turns on once the template is approved (it stays in **To complete** until then).
4. For customers who have not written to you in the last 24 hours, collect their permission from the phone menu: in the Ringover IVR, add an “Ask for a code” step with the **Announcement to record** and the **Address of the “Ask for a code” step** from the **WhatsApp permission from the phone menu (IVR)** section. The customer presses 1: WYP.chat keeps the proof (call, time, announcement version and text) and answers the step with **200**; link the thank-you announcement to that answer. Any other key gets another answer (**422**): link it to the usual next step of your IVR.
5. In the conversation, the call line shows what happened: **WhatsApp message due in 2 minutes**, **WhatsApp message sent after the missed call**, or **No WhatsApp message** with the reason.

**Good to know** The message never goes out for an internal call, a hidden number or a landline, nor more than once per number in 24 hours. A call started with **Call back** never triggers this message, even if nobody picks up. A call that goes through the IVR or an announcement without a team member picking up counts as missed. A customer who replied STOP, a blocked contact or a refusal kept after a contact was deleted gets nothing. If the customer wrote to you in the last 24 hours, the message goes out as free text. Otherwise, you need the approved template and the customer’s permission (from the phone menu, or a WhatsApp permission already on record). Permission given on the phone menu only covers that message: it never allows a campaign. The template only talks about the call, with no offer or link, to stay in Meta’s Utility category.
