# How we verify what we publish

> Every Meta rule and every figure published on wyp.chat links to its official source, with the date we read it. WYP.chat prices come from the same source as the software, every page shows when it was last updated, and every corrected error is listed here, with its date.

Key points

- One official source per fact (Meta, WhatsApp, regulators), read in full, with the date it was checked.
- No figure taken from a competitor or a blog: if Meta does not say it, neither do we.
- WYP.chat is our software: our guides talk about it, and say so.

## An official source for every fact

A WhatsApp rule ([24-hour window](https://wyp.chat/en/glossary#fenetre-24h), template categories, [messaging limits](https://wyp.chat/en/glossary#limite-envoi), [coexistence](https://wyp.chat/en/glossary#coexistence), usernames) is checked against Meta’s developer documentation, the WhatsApp Help Centre or Meta Business Help. A legal rule is checked against the text or the regulator (ICO, CNIL, AEPD). Each guide lists its sources at the bottom, with the date they were checked.

- We read the published page, not a summary. When Meta also publishes a text version, we compare the two: on 16 October 2026, the text version of Meta’s pricing page was older than the published page, and the published page is what counts.
- When two official pages disagree, we cite both and say so.
- Figures from competitors or blogs only show us what readers ask. They are never reused.
- A date announced by Meta is written as announced (“gradual rollout in 2026”), never as if it had happened.

## Two dates on every page

Every page shows “Updated on”: the last time its content changed. A guide’s sources carry their own checked date. Both dates are also in the data read by search engines (datePublished and dateModified).

Every Monday, an automatic check compares the Meta pages that set WhatsApp’s rules and prices (pricing, changelog, business policy) with the previous week’s version. A page that has changed is read again, and the guides that depend on it are reviewed.

## What we check before every release

- WYP.chat prices are read at publication from the same source as the software: the website and the app cannot show two different prices.
- Meta’s messaging limits are written in one place, and every page that mentions them uses that one source.
- The site will not publish with a broken internal link, a page that nothing links to, or a term dropped from our vocabulary.
- Every page exists in French, Spanish and English, and each language is reviewed on its own.
- Example conversations follow the same rules as the product (24-hour window, Meta-[approved template](https://wyp.chat/en/glossary#modele) outside it).

Texts are prepared with the help of artificial intelligence tools. Every fact is then checked against its source before publication, using the method described here.

## Declared conflict of interest

wyp.chat is the website of WYP.chat, software published by Absparition SL in Barcelona, which also publishes WYP.agency. Our guides explain WhatsApp’s rules for everyone, then say what WYP.chat does: we are an interested party, and we say so. We are not paid by the tools we mention, and we only publish a competitor’s price with its source and date.

## Reported and corrected errors

Spotted an error? Email hello@wyp.chat with the page and the source that contradicts it. We check, correct, update the page date and add the correction to this list.

| Date | Page | What was wrong | Correction |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 16/10/2026 | Spanish pages (industries, guides, home) | The 24-hour duration was shown as a time of day (midnight). | Written as “24 horas”; the site now refuses to publish with this error. |
| 13/10/2026 | Industries | The page listed 17 industries and its FAQ 15 at sign-up, without explaining the gap. | The FAQ explains which industries do not have ready-made settings yet; the gap is checked at every release. |
| 12/10/2026 | WhatsApp message pricing, WhatsApp Business API | The free window after a “Click to WhatsApp” ad was given as 72 hours. | “Up to 7 days”, according to Meta’s pricing page. |
| 12/10/2026 | Help: keeping the WhatsApp Business app | Replies sent from the app were said to be charged by Meta. | They stay free and do not open the API’s 24-hour window, according to Meta’s documentation. |

From Meta’s developer documentation, the WhatsApp Help Centre and Meta Business Help, checked on the date shown at the bottom of each guide.

### How do I report an error?

Email hello@wyp.chat with the page and the source that contradicts it. The correction is dated and added to the list on this page.

### Is WYP.chat neutral?

No: WYP.chat is our software. Meta’s rules are explained for everyone, then each guide says what WYP.chat does.

### How often are pages reviewed?

Every Monday, the Meta pages that set the rules and prices are compared with the previous week. A wyp.chat page that depends on them is reviewed as soon as a source changes.
