WhatsApp Business use cases in 17 industries

WYP.chat is built for businesses where several people answer the same WhatsApp number: a restaurant’s orders, a garage’s quotes, an estate agent’s viewings, a salon’s bookings. Each page below starts from real cases in that industry and says what the app does today, limits included.

Updated on

Retail, food and distribution

Customers order or reserve on WhatsApp: the basket becomes an order and payment goes out as a link.

  • WhatsApp ordering for restaurants

The WhatsApp catalogue basket becomes an order to confirm, the summary goes out in the customer’s language and the payment link is one tap away.

  • WhatsApp for shops

An item put aside by message, paid by link and collected in store. Several staff reply on the shop’s number.

  • WhatsApp for bookshops

A book that is not on the shelf is ordered by message, the customer hears when it arrives, and author events go to readers who opted in.

  • WhatsApp ordering for wholesalers

Orders from restaurants arrive as baskets, as messages read by the AI agent or as proposals accepted in one tap, counted in cases.

  • WhatsApp for online shops

WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, website chat and email in one inbox: pre-purchase questions, orders, payment links and shipping updates. Shopify is coming soon.

Appointments and bookings

Customers ask for a slot, move it or ask a question before they come: several people answer them on the same number.

  • WhatsApp for hair and beauty salons

Booking requests arrive on WhatsApp, Instagram and website chat. Reception offers available Google Calendar slots and fills a cancelled slot with a campaign.

  • WhatsApp for clinic front desks

Front desk only: booking and moving appointments, reminders, opening hours and directions. No medical information goes through WhatsApp.

  • WhatsApp for gyms

Trial requests, membership questions and timetable changes, handled by reception and coaches. Follow-ups only go to people who opted in.

  • WhatsApp for driving schools

Office staff and instructors share the driving school’s WhatsApp: a lesson moves using Google Calendar slots and a scenario reminds learners of their test.

  • WhatsApp for hotels and travel agents

WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Telegram, website chat and email in one history, before, during and after the stay. No PMS integration is promised.

Quotes, client files and customer service

Every request has an owner: a tradesperson’s quote, an estate agent’s buyer, an accountant’s client file, a question for customer service.

  • WhatsApp for tradespeople

Quote requests, photos and site questions on WhatsApp, handled by several people from a computer or phone, without sharing the company phone.

  • WhatsApp for garages

Reception and workshop see the same conversations: photos of the car, quotes approved in one tap, a message when the car is ready.

  • WhatsApp for car dealerships

Every enquiry from a listing or an ad has its salesperson: test drives get booked, part-exchange photos land in the conversation and finance stays with the salesperson.

  • WhatsApp for estate agents

Every buyer, tenant or seller enquiry has an owner, viewings go into Google Calendar and conversations stay with the agency.

  • WhatsApp for B2B services

Every lead who writes on WhatsApp or website chat goes to the right rep, with their record, notes and Google Meet meetings.

  • WhatsApp for accountants and solicitors

Each client is assigned to the person handling their file, others only see their own team and sensitive actions are logged. Sensitive documents stay in your secure tool.

  • WhatsApp customer service software

Several people working across one or more numbers, an owner for every conversation, response times tracked and escalated, supervisors for each team.

Features every industry uses

  • The shared inbox

One number for the whole team, each person with their own login.

  • Opt-in WhatsApp campaigns

Message customers who agreed, with the cost estimated before sending.

  • Industry AI agents

Coucou and Allô already answer on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Telegram and website chat; Veilleur, when you are closed.
